Mommy’s First Mother’s Day

Mommy had to work on Mother’s Day from 8 AM until noon because she was responsible for seeing all the Kaiser ob/gyn inpatients this week.

Aunt Ellie beat me to the punch and mailed Mommy her 1st Mother’s Day present — a soft caddy and a scarf from her recent trip to Egypt:

When Mommy came home today, I almost brought Mommy to tears when I was all ready with my bouquet of roses.

Daddy was also prepared with a heart-shaped fruit tart.

Daddy also made a collage of some photos Daddy and I took this morning.

Yes, that’s my awesome Daddy’s art project!  As you can see, I helped out a lot!

Last week, I also made Mommy Mother’s Day gifts. (Rather, I accompanied Mommy to make her Mother’s Day gifts.)  The craft store, Michael’s, had a session for making free necklaces and bracelets from glass beads.  Mommy couldn’t resist any art projects and jumped in.  So, here’s what I accompanied Mommy to make:

1. Necklace

2. Bracelet

The beads were actually quite beautiful (even though the photos don’t quite do them much justice).  They were so beautiful, in fact, that I love playing around and pulling on the necklace and bracelet.  Needless to say, Mommy promptly took of them off and set them in her jewelry box for when I am older because obviously beads are a choking hazard.

There is a reason why mommies of infants and small toddlers do not wear any jewelry.  🙂

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies in the world!  Thanks to my Daddy for helping me make Mommy happy on her first Mother’s Day.  Remember, I’ll still need your help for a few more years to come.
