First Real Flu

I am really not sure who gave it to whom, but Mommy and I have both come down with a terrible case of the flu. I had it so bad that I spiked a temperature of 103.5. Mommy had bouts of fevers too, but not to that degree of severity.

Mommy and Daddy brought me in to see the pediatrician today — it was the usual spiel. Push fluids, at least 2 ounces per hour. Pee at least once every 8 hours. Anti-pyretics every 3 hours, alternating Motrin with Tylenol.

It looks like I started to develop a bit of effusions behind my ear drum, so I was also given Amoxicillin. Luckily, it was nothing major.

Meanwhile, I’ve just been like a little cuddle bear sleeping on Mommy. Mommy thinks it’s sweet since I would never snuggle up longer than a few seconds, but now, it’s happening for hours! Enjoy (as bittersweet as it may be) it while it lasts.
