Birthday Part 3: The Making of “Jaws”

As promised, here is a play-by-play of Uncle Wade carving my watermelon shark.

Uncle Wade looked for the perfect oval-shaped watermelon with the right nub for the nose.  He found one with the right shape from the Korean store (wouldn’t you know it!) and it actually was a perfectly-tasting watermelon too.

Making the right mouth angle.

Using a veggie peeler to get rid of the watermelon rind.  Ingenious!
